Privacy policy

VideoGeneratorApp is an independent macOS application operated by Dan Vrajmas. This policy covers the desktop app and this informational website. Contact danvrajmas@gmail.com with questions or data requests.

Data stored on your Mac

The app saves channel settings, ideas, scripts, generated images, audio, videos and publishing history in its local database and media folders. Account access and refresh tokens are encrypted in the local database. Configuration and encryption keys are stored in the app’s private local configuration. This website does not receive or host that library.

Google and YouTube data

When you connect YouTube through Google sign-in, the app receives authorization tokens and channel information such as the channel name and ID. It uses this access to identify your connected channel, upload videos, read and manage video information, and organize playlist placement when you request those features. Video files, titles, descriptions, audience settings and other publishing details are sent to YouTube for authorized publishing actions.

Google user data is used only to provide these user-facing features. It is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train generalized AI models. VideoGeneratorApp’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

AI and other connected services

When you choose a remote AI provider, such as OpenAI, the prompts and content required for your requested generation are sent to that provider using your configured credentials. Local generation features process their inputs on your Mac. Other social integrations, when configured, send the media and account information required for the actions you authorize. Each provider also applies its own privacy policy.

Retention and control

Local projects and account records remain on your Mac until you remove them. You can disconnect an account in the app and revoke Google access at Google Account connections. Removing local content or disconnecting an account does not delete previously published YouTube videos; manage those in YouTube. Copies and backups you create must be removed separately.

For a complete local reset, contact support for guidance on removing the app’s database, configuration and media. Support does not have remote access to your local library. If you email support, your message and contact details are used to respond and retained only as needed to handle the request.

This website

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process technical request information, including IP addresses and browser details, to deliver and protect the site. We do not add analytics, advertising trackers, account forms or tracking cookies. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Children and audience settings

The app is intended for adult creators, not for use by children. Its “made for kids” setting describes the intended audience of a video; it does not create accounts for children.

Policy changes and third parties
